If data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. e or f GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation. This also applies to profiling based on these provisions. Please refer to this privacy policy for the respective legal basis on which processing is based.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of GDPR violations, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of data to another data controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.

Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

Automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data may—apart from being stored—only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

4. Data Collection on This Website

Cookies

This website exclusively uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the technical operation of the website. They serve to provide the website securely, stably, and error-free.

Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR and Section 25 Para. 2 TDDDG. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically secure and functional provision of our online offer.

Commercial evaluation, personal profiling, or the use of marketing cookies does not take place. The use of Framer Analytics occurs without the use of cookies and is described separately in the "Framer Analytics" section.

Contact form

The contact form is provided via the provider Framer. The provider is Framer B.V., Rozengracht 207, 1016 LZ Amsterdam, Netherlands. The data entered via the form is processed for the technical provision and transmission of the inquiry. Further information on data processing by Framer can be found in the section "Hosting via Framer".

When you send us inquiries via the contact form, we process the data you enter. Depending on your information, this includes company, first name, last name, phone number, email address, and the content of your message.

Processing takes place for the purpose of processing your inquiry, contacting you, answering follow-up questions, and, if applicable, preparing offers and initiating projects. We do not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided your inquiry is related to the implementation of pre-contractual measures or the fulfillment of a contract. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us and communication with prospective clients pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

The data submitted by you will be deleted after the processing is completed, but at the latest after 6 months, unless legal retention obligations conflict. If a contractual relationship is established, the statutory retention periods apply.

Inquiry by email, phone, or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone, or fax, your inquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and/or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us.

The data you send to us via contact inquiries remains with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

5. Plugins, Tools, Links

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. The Google fonts are installed locally. As a result, no connection is established to Google servers.

Links

Links to our social media presences are integrated on our website. These are simple links or clickable icons. As far as we are aware, no processing of your personal data by the social networks takes place as long as you do not click on these links.

We currently maintain profiles or contact options with the following providers:

Facebook and Instagram: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland

The social media platforms regularly process users' personal data for their own purposes as well (e.g., for profiling and interest-based advertising) and sometimes access servers in third countries, particularly in the USA.

We have no influence on these data processing activities.

What happens when you click on a social media link?

When you click on a social media icon or a corresponding text link, a direct connection is established between your browser and the servers of the respective platform. In doing so – depending on the provider – the following data in particular may be transmitted:

  • the address (URL) of the website on which the link is located (referrer),

  • the date and time of accessing the website or clicking on the link,

  • information about the device, operating system, and browser you are using,

  • your IP address.

If you are logged in to the respective provider, it may assign the information that you visited our website and clicked on the link to your user account there.

This can also take place across devices if you are logged in across different end devices. If you wish to avoid this association, you should log out of your respective user account and, if necessary, delete cookies before clicking on the links.

Please also note that the platforms can collect further data independently (e.g., via cookies or other tracking technologies) and process this into extensive user profiles – including for behavioral advertising, as is particularly the case with Meta services (Facebook, Instagram). We have no influence on this.

Responsibility under GDPR

We are the controller within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR for data processing on our website (including the display of social media links). As soon as you click on one of our social media links and switch to the page of the respective provider, data processing takes place predominantly under the responsibility of the respective platform operator. This applies in particular to:

  • Creation of user profiles by the platform,

  • Storage and evaluation of your usage behavior for (behavioral) advertising,

  • if applicable, merging with other data from your user account or other services of the provider

Under data protection law, these platform operators are independent controllers. In some cases, supplementary joint controllership agreements exist, for example for “insights” or statistical data (e.g. “Page Controller Addendum” for Facebook pages). Further information on this can be found in the privacy policies of the respective providers.

Purposes and legal basis of our links

We link to our presence on social networks in order to:

  • present our company, our services, and content there as well

  • communicate with customers, interested parties, and applicants,

  • better understand feedback and the reach of our content.

Data processing in the context of integrating the links (in particular the display of icons and the associated possibility of accessing our social media pages) is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in optimizing our corporate presentation and communicating with the public.

Further processing on the platforms (e.g. in your user account, through cookies/tracking) is governed by the legal bases of the respective providers (e.g. consent or legitimate interest according to their data protection regulations). Information on this can be found in the privacy policies of the providers.

Possible data transfer to third countries (especially the USA)

Social media platforms operate some of their servers in countries outside the EU/EEA, particularly in the USA. Your data may therefore also be transferred to countries with a potentially lower level of data protection than in the EU. According to current information, providers base data transfers to the USA, among other things, on:

  • the adequacy decision of the EU Commission (EU-US Data Privacy Framework, DPF), provided the respective provider is certified accordingly, and/or

  • the conclusion of standard contractual clauses (SCC) of the EU Commission.

Current information on whether the respective provider is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and which safeguards are applied can be found in the privacy policies and published data transfer regulations of the providers.

Your rights, options to object and revocation rights

In connection with the use of social media platforms, you are fundamentally entitled to the data subject rights described in this privacy policy (Arts. 15–21 GDPR), in particular:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR),

  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)

  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),

  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),

  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),

  • Objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR), in particular against profiling and direct marketing,

  • Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

You can assert these rights both against us and against the respective platform operator. In practice, it is often advisable to contact the respective provider directly, as only they have full access to your data stored there. In addition, the platforms offer their own setting and opt-out options.

Please inform yo

6. Our Own Services

Handling of Applicant Data

We offer you the opportunity to apply with us (e.g., by email, by post, or via our online application form). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data will comply with applicable data protection laws and all other statutory provisions, and that your data will be treated in strict confidence.

Scope and Purpose of Data Collection

If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) to the extent that this is necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 BDSG-new under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation), and — provided you have given your consent — Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Within our company, your personal data will only be passed on to persons who are involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data you submitted will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 BDSG-new and Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

Data retention period

If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer, or you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you submitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months from the conclusion of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data will subsequently be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed.

The retention serves in particular for evidentiary purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the expiration of the 6-month period (e.g., due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place once the purpose for further retention no longer applies.

Longer retention may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if statutory retention requirements preclude deletion.
